BioLog Europe is building its «Region of Excellence in Biologistics» initiative on a strong network of research centers, universities, science-driven companies and incubators located in and around Liege.
Assembling a local knowledge-based environment that is prone to developing innovative and multi-disciplinarian R&D projects is indeed crucial to ensuring that providers and users of biologistics can benefi t from a continuous flow of technologies and other improvements.
Many challenges face the biologistics industry, such as how the packaging of bio-pharma products may be made more durable and recyclable or how containers could become more volume-modulable and temperature-stable for longer periods of time.
To address the acute need for scientifi c and technological innovation in the improvement of biologistics processes, services and products, BioLog Europe organizes calls for problem-solving R&D projects on a regular basis where research labs and companies can form consortia and obtain subsidies and other incentives.
